Trailer: Joshua Jackson and Lizzy Caplan Are Dangerously Entangled by Desire 2023
Fatal Attraction, a new thriller series from Paramount+, has released its debut teaser. Joshua Jackson and Lizzy Caplan replace Douglas and Close in the series.
In the original Fatal Attraction, Douglas played married lawyer Dan Gallagher, who had an affair on a work trip. Douglas was a popular erotic thriller actor. Dan’s one-time adventure becomes a nightmare when Alex Forrest decides she wants more.

Alex stalks Dan, endangering his marriage and life. Douglas’ outstanding performance makes it riveting. Even though Close impresses in the thriller, Fatal Attraction didn’t age well since Alex is a crazed villain who threatens a nice marriage.
The new Fatal Attraction teaser shows Paramount+’s willingness to revisit the narrative via Alex’s perspective. The series will follow the movie’s plot, with Jackson’s Dan and Caplan’s Alex falling in love on vacation. After Alex goes after Dan, the series will show how the lawyer deceived Alex and caused all that happened subsequently. Caplan’s role will also examine mental health and feminine identity, modernizing the classic film’s most difficult moments. As the first teaser showed, layered Alex is more dangerous and intriguing.
Fatal Attraction on Paramount+: When?
Emmy-nominated Alexandra Cunningham writes, executive produces, and runs Fatal Attraction. Cunningham has expertise with thrillers, intriguing characters, and police investigations through her work on Prime Suspect, Bates Motel, and Dirty John. Cunningham co-writes with Kevin J. Hynes (Perry Mason) and executive produces. Darryl Frank and Justin Falvey of Amblin Television also serve as executive producers. Silver Tree executive produces and directs five episodes of the eight-episode series.
Amanda Peet plays Dan’s wife Beth, Alyssa Jirrels Ellen Gallagher, Toby Huss Mike Gerard, Reno Wilson Detective Earl Brooker, and Brian Goodman Arthur Tomlinson in Paramount+ Fatal Attraction.
