Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 prequel comic for Free Comic Book Day 2023
We collaborated with Marvel to produce a prologue to Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 on Free Comic Book Day, May 6.
When we first met with Marvel, we brainstormed prequel comic storylines. But we kept coming back to the same premise—what if Peter, Miles, and MJ had to team up against a new Super Villain whose powers they didn’t understand? We wanted to see what this amazing duo has been up to since Marvel’s Spider-Man and Miles Morales. With two Spider-Men in town, what is Pete doing? Miles’ school performance? How’s MJ’s journalism?
Peter, Miles, and MJ struggle to manage their municipal and personal duties in this novella. Is magic real? In this action-packed issue, a popular Super Villain makes their debut appearance in our realm and appears to have mystical abilities that defy webs and fists: The Hood!
We worked with Christos Gage, a Marvel Spider-Man writer, and Ig Guara, an artist, to address these questions. Free Comic Book Day. Another announcement today: Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered on PS5!
Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered will be sold on PlayStation Store this month. This title was formerly exclusive to Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales Ultimate Edition.
The game will also provide an upgrade program for PS4 owners of Marvel’s Spider-Man. You may upgrade to Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered on PS5 for $10 if you own the PS4 game on disc or digitally. Marvel’s Spider-Man: Miles Morales owners may upgrade to the Ultimate Edition through the PS5 version’s main menu to get Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered.
Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered is $49.99 on PlayStation Store for those who don’t qualify. We hope you’ll play Marvel’s Spider-Man Remastered before Marvel Spider-Man 2’s fall release.
