Exclusive Behind-the-Scenes Photos from Disney+’s ‘Road to D-Day’ Documentary Showcase SUGA 2023

He is prepared for his opportunity.

After gaining fame as a member of BTS and inviting fans into his world through solo mixtapes and collaborations, the 30-year-old rapper is preparing to release his debut solo album D-Day and documenting the process in a new Disney+ documentary.

SUGA: Road to D-Day, scheduled for release on April 21 via streaming service, will depict the chart-topping South Korean performer traveling from Seoul to Tokyo and Las Vegas in search of inspiration as he creates D-Day. People can exclusively disclose two photos from the documentary before its release.

SUGA: Road to D-Day, releasing Friday, follows the BTS member as he finds inspiration for his debut solo album.

In the film, SUGA exposes his most vulnerable moments as he strips back the layers of his artistry to reveal his most exposed state. It will be documented that he experienced writer’s block, discussed it with fellow musicians, and drew inspiration from traumatic memories to write D-Day.

SUGA: Road to D-Day represents the most recent collaboration between Disney+ and BTS. The platform has previously released the concert film BTS: PERMISSION TO DANCE ON STAGE – LA, a documentary about j-hope’s debut solo album titled j-hope IN THE BOX, and the travel show IN THE SOOP: Friendcation starring V and other celebrities.

The documentary and SUGA’s debut solo album will be released on April 21, and the record has already been preceded by the single “People Pt.2” featuring IU.

D-Day will conclude his trilogy of mixtapes under the moniker Agust D, following D-2 in 2020 and Agust D in 2016.

The complete track listing for D-Day was disclosed one week prior to its release. The album will also feature “D-Day,” “HUH?! (feat. j-hope),” “AMYGDALA,” “SDL,” “Polar Night,” “Interlude: Dawn,” “Snooze (feat. Ryuichi Sakamoto, Woosung of The Rose),” and “Life Goes On”

SUGA will embark on a world tour later this month, making him the first BTS member to do so outside of the group. Beginning on April 26 and continuing through May 17, he will perform across North America before heading to Asia from May 26 to June 25.
