BBC Great Expectations: Cast and streaming 2023
A new rendition of the classic novel Great Expectations by Charles Dickens has been created for television.
The new version, adapted by Peaky Blinders creator Steven Knight, is rumored to feature a dark and jarring twist on the traditional narrative.
According to the Radio Times, Dickens’s work depicts the narrative of an orphan, Pip, who pursues his goal for a better life.
After an encounter with an escaped convict and a summons to the mansion of the affluent Miss Havisham, his life is irrevocably altered.
Pip must make a choice in light of Miss Havisham’s intention to make the orphan her adopted daughter’s companion.
