Goldberg, a WWE Hall of Famer, is now a free agent, as his contract with the organization has ended. Goldberg has not performed for any other organization outside of WWE since his comeback in 2016. Despite making only a few appearances, Goldberg has maintained his status as a top-tier celebrity.
According to Fightful.com, WWE does not appear interested in utilizing him again, and his contract with the business has ended. If he so chooses, the WCW legend can also sign with AEW.
In 2003, Goldberg joined WWE for one year. He quit WWE following Wrestlemania 20. Goldberg made a stunning comeback to WWE in 2016 and remained with the company for the following seven years.
Goldberg, a WWE legend, has just had his contract expire, making him a free agent.
Goldberg’s next storyline was two matches against Bobby Lashley. Summerslam was won by Lashley, while Goldberg defeated the previous WWE Champion at Crown Jewel.
He beat Brock Lesnar in his return match at Survivor Series and Kevin Owens in 2017 to capture the Universal Title. After losing the championship to Lesnar at WrestleMania 33, there was speculation that Goldberg may retire. The following year, he was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame.
Goldberg was scheduled to compete against The Undertaker in Saudi Arabia in 2019. Both celebrities sustained concussions as a result of the encounter, which was a stunner. At the 2019 Summerslam, Goldberg’s next encounter against Dolph Ziggler represented a form of atonement.
He won the Universal Title in an unexpected manner at Crown Jewel 2020, but lost it to Braun Strowman at WrestleMania 36. His next appearance was at the Royal Rumble in January 2021, when he was defeated by Drew McIntyre.
Golbderg’s concluding storyline was against Roman Reigns, and the two met in the first match of Crown Jewel 2022. Reigns successfully defended his Universal Title by defeating Goldberg. It is unknown whether Triple H will utilize Goldberg or whether the WWE icon will join AEW.
