The Jonas Brothers Looked To The “Waffle House” For Both A Place To Meditate And Musical Inspiration For Their Latest Single 2023
After the release of “Wings” in February, the Jonas Brothers have now made available “Waffle House,” the second song to come from their future album. The cheerful song is a celebration not just of the timeless late-night chain mainstay, but also of the pleasant memories they acquire from the location and the tranquility it provides them.
“No, don’t worry about it, everything’s going to work out in the end / Ah, those meaningful discussions at the Waffle House / / “Headstrong father and a determined mother / Well, that’s why some nights, we try to murder each other / But you know it’s always love,” Joe and Nick sing together in the chorus, with Kevin joining the mix later on in the tune. Kevin is the third member of the singing trio. It is apparent that their link is still quite strong despite the changes that have occurred as siblings and as a family.
The band hinted at the title earlier this year when Variety asked them to name their favorite tunes.
Nick revealed that it was something that was added at the very last second. When I first heard it, I was a little confused by it, but the more I listened to it, the more I fell in love with it. I believe that it perfectly captures a certain instant for us in time.
The music draws inspiration from a number of artists and groups from the same era as the Doobie Brothers and the Bee Gees, amongst others. This is a fantastic, extremely pleasant tune to listen to. We can’t wait to perform it in front of an audience.”
They decided to play it live during their recent stint on Broadway as a result of the excitement it generated.
