The Good Doctor Put Glassman and Morgan on New Paths—and Seeds a Possible Series Departure 2023

The excellent news is that Dr. Glassman has no malignancy!

The bad news is that there is undoubtedly something amiss with Glassy.

On Monday’s episode of The Good Doctor, it was revealed that the spot detected on his MRI was not a glioblastoma recurrence, but rather radiation scar tissue.

But before Shaun and Lea could celebrate, they observed that the cot Glassman constructed for their infant was missing two screws. Shaun stated, “Dr. Glassman does not have brain cancer, but there is something amiss with his brain.”

And although we do not yet know precisely what is wrong with him, we should have an answer relatively soon. Only two episodes remain until the series finale on May 1.

Morgan’s storyline also took an unexpected (but ultimately predictable) turn: She was scheduled to endure an embryo transfer, but postponed it after a homeless, single mother’s death orphaned seven-week-old Eden, setting up a potential adaptation storyline.

The episode also planted the seeds for Andrews’ potential dismissal. Andrew apologized to his superintendent of surgery after questioning Lim’s surgical judgment and explained that he’s “been under a microscope with the board recently.” Last week, when his affair with Villanueva ended due to the nursing shortage at St. Bons, we already had the impression that he was under extreme duress. If the board voted to remove him as president by the end of the season, Hill Harper would be free to pursue a rumored bid for the U.S. Senate.
