Jin, Jimin, Jungkook, and others attend BTS Jhope’s military service 2023
BTS rapper Jung Hoseok aka Jhope engaged in required military duty. The rapper reportedly drove inside the training site without pleasantries. Jimin, Jungkook, BTS V, Suga, and RM followed his car.
All members attended Jhope’s entry ceremony. BTS Jin, a military member, welcomed Hobi at the recruitment site.
Jhope announced his April 18 enlistment in an emotional farewell Weverse LIVE on Friday. Jungkook, BTS’ youngest member, returned to Seoul from LA to send off his “Hobi Hyung.”
On Monday, the rapper posted his final message to fans before joining BTS Jin in the military and showcased his buzz cut photos. “I’ll be back in good health!!” Jhope posted on Instagram.
Jhope posted on Weverse that he will return safely. “I love you ARMY.. I’ll return safely”
BTS Jhope hinted of his military enlistment. The BTS ARMY sent heartbreaking messages online as the day approached. Many praised Jungkook for cutting his LA itinerary short for Jhope, while others were teary-eyed over Hobi departing. Jin, BTS’ oldest member, commented on Weverse that Jhope will join him in one day.
“Jungkook adjusting his schedule and coming home to send off his hobi hyung and taehyung coming home to send off his seokjin,” a fan tweeted. Love them!” Another posted, “our sunshine #hobi is leaving.”
Another admirer added, “me trying to enjoy my day acting like everything is okay knowing perfectly that hobi is leaving tomorrow.”
BTS Jhope’s last message before enlisting touched fans. Jimin, Jungkook, and others attended Hobi’s enlisting on April 18. Even military Jin was present.
BigHit Music, BTS’ management company, verified Jhope’s obligatory military duty last month. The agency said on Weverse that the 29-year-old musician had requested “the termination of his enlistment postponement”.
“We would like to inform our fans that j-hope has initiated the military enlistment process by applying for the termination of his postponement,” the statement stated.
We beg for your continuing love and support for Jhope until he safely returns from military service. “Our company will do everything to support our artist,” the agency wrote.
Jin joined the military first among the boy band. Last December, he began his 18-month military duty at a South Korean boot camp.
