Disney’s Live-Action “Lilo & Stitch” Finds Lilo 2023

The feature film that is going to be a significant release on Disney+ will be directed by Dean Fleischer Camp, whose previous work includes the critically acclaimed independent film Marcel the Shell With Shoes On, which was also nominated for an Academy Award for best-animated picture.

Disney did not wish to comment, though.

The plot of the narrative, which is set in Hawaii, focuses on the friendship that develops between a human girl named Lilo and an extraterrestrial named Stitch, who is modeled after a dog and was designed to be a destructive force through genetic engineering.

The two individuals get together over a common appreciation for family and are ultimately successful in spite of the presence of prying social workers and aggressive extraterrestrials. In February, Zach Galifianakis became a member of the cast. Naturally, Stitch will be a computer-generated sweet treat.

The original story was adapted into a screenplay by Chris Kekaniokalani Bright. Chris Sanders and Dean DeBlois are responsible for writing and directing the first feature film, which, although not being a commercial success when it was released, has amassed a devoted following that has only gotten larger over the course of the intervening years.

Producing is being handled by Rideback’s Dan Lin and Jonathan Eirich. Executive producing duties have been assigned to Rideback’s Ryan Halprin.
