Brooklyn and Nicola Peltz-Beckham Preview Met Gala Looks: We’re excited 2023
On Monday, Brooklyn and Nicola Peltz-Beckham have thrilling plans: they will attend the Met Gala!
In an exclusive interview with PEOPLE at the reopening of Tiffany & Co.’s Landmark flagship in New York City, the couple verified that they will attend the highly anticipated fashion event for the third time on May 1.
In addition, they provided a glimpse of what fans can anticipate them to wear (while leaving room for the imagination).
“Classic,” Brooklyn, 24, simply characterizes the two’s fashion concepts.
Nicola, age 28, adds, “We’re incredibly excited to go.” This year’s motif, “Karl Lagerfeld: A Line of Beauty,” is dedicated to the late designer Karl Lagerfeld.
The pair will attend their third annual fashion gala on Monday.
The married couple, who recently celebrated their one-year wedding anniversary, attended their second Met Gala last year, only weeks after their extravagant wedding in Palm Beach, Florida, on April 9.
Their designer of choice for the evening was Valentino. The model-turned-chef wore a tailored beige suit, while the actress from Welcome to Chippendales chose a bohemian-style dress in the fashion house’s signature vibrant pink hue.
“I typically wear a simple black uniform. However, this time I wore a sheer shirt and ivory suit. Pierpaolo [Piccioli] always nails it,” Brooklyn told Vogue of the Valentino creative director who designed his outfit. Nicola added: “I’m so honored. I get so excited whenever I get to don one of his dresses. They make you feel like a royalty.”
Nicola stated to Vogue that collaborating with the Italian label for her wedding garment was a “no-brainer”
Her custom haute couture design, which Nicola helped create at Valentino’s headquarters in Rome over the course of a year, featured a cathedral-length gown with a square neckline. Her ensemble was completed by a lace veil and coordinating gloves.
