“American IdolPaige “‘s Anne survives “Hollywood week.” 2023

Paige Anne, a sophomore at Idaho Falls High School, took her “American Idol” golden ticket all the way to Hollywood Week, but she didn’t stop there.

The local artist sailed through the performance round and her duet performance with Stefan Benz, leaving the judges no choice but to advance them to the next round after their rendition of “You Are the Reason” by English singer/songwriter Calum Scott.

Paige sang “Carry You Through” by Maggie Rose for her performance challenge prior to her duet performance. She did so with the help of advice she received from “American Idol” runner-up David Archuleta in 2008.

On the first night of the competition, Archuleta and several other Idol legends joined the current contestants to help them improve their odds of winning by conquering a series of categories. Categories included self-assurance, stage presence, and songwriting.

Paige Anne collaborated with Archuletta in the category of confidence.

“Because of how my audition went, I entered Hollywood Week with a great deal of anxiety,” said Paige. “I wanted to prove myself, but I was so anxious that I severely criticized myself for it. He (Archuletta) helped me gain so much confidence. Since I have admired him since I was a young child, meeting him was akin to my 11-year-old fantasies coming true.

Paige expressed regret that every artist would not have the opportunity to experience Hollywood Week at least once.

Paige stated, “Going to Hollywood Week was such a wild and enlightening experience for me.” “I emerged from this week significantly more mature and at ease with myself. I gained so much knowledge and became much more enthusiastic and prepared for duets.”

Because Paige received affirmative votes from all three judges, she is advancing to the “Showstoppers” round, where she will perform for the judges once more, this time accompanied by the entire “American Idol” ensemble.

ABC airs Season 21 of “American Idol” every Sunday at 7 p.m.
